Evolving Culture
Create a highly inclusive, aligned, and developed workplace
Empower your people and their potential
85% of global employees are disengaged in work (Gallup, 2018) and the workforce of today wants regular conversations, career development, and purpose as work and life are ever more integrated with identity. Meanwhile, leaders in many industries are struggling to attract, retain, and help diverse and young talent to reach their full potential. Part of the challenge is that executives and managers are not fully aware of their own privilege and bias, feel uncomfortable discussing the emotional and personal experiences of employees, are unsure how to help employees open up, and are unclear whether initiatives are having the right impact on their business.
Make equality, diversity, and belonging your culture
Executives and managers can learn the skills and knowledge to better support their people through self-awareness and improved career conversations. Emotional resilience techniques support conversations that ask difficult questions and engage in real emotional dialogue and actually address the issues employees are facing.
Astute leaders prioritise emotional resilience for their teams to thrive.
Employees need to know how to process their emotions, that they aren’t alone, and that what they are feeling is a shared experience and a natural part of our humanity. They will appreciate participating in emotional resiliency ‘training circles’ to bring them back to center in their most focussed and productive state of being. The word clouds below show what members of the Career Development Institute felt at the start of a resiliency circle and after practicing the tools:
